TED Vancouver: All the world’s a stage

Vancouver – the new home to TED (Technology, Entertainment & Design) – didn’t have an arena that would suit the intimate nature of the TED talks. So rather than compromise, TED built one. Watch the following video to see a time lapse of their custom build over 9 days. The stage, itself, isn’t that “wow” – there isn’t a panoramic screen, or even a lot of lighting. Very few speakers use slides. Instead, the focus is on the environment that recreates a cozy living room, which is where most of us tell one another our most personal stories.
