Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation
Held November 14, 2019 at the brand new Cipriani South Street space in Manhattan, the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s A Magical Evening Gala brought together more than 500 attendees to celebrate the organization’s work to cure spinal injury through funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for individuals and families impacted by paralysis. The evening raised more than $1,000,000. The event was emcee’d by Will Reeve, the son of Christopher and Dana, and was attended by his two siblings, Alexandra and Matthew.
The black-tie gala included performances from Hank Lane during the cocktail reception, Juilliard student performers in the Great Hall and Ballroom, and ended with a performance from Jesse Rubens. The Silent Auction and Magic Ticket raffle was managed through GiveSmart, a mobile bidding platform.
The event and space was designed to not only meet ADA standards but create an environment that was welcoming and inclusive for attendees in wheelchairs.
